Its been a shattering news to all the Firefox dear ones that hours after the official launch of the much hyped browser Firefox 3.0, researchers had found out a vulnerability. Tipping point was the ones who had reported the bug to Mozilla.
And since then the master minds at Mozilla are trying hard to get it fixed. Till now tipping point had not revealed the details about the publicly, as it can create a chaos to all the millions of firefox downloaders. But Tipping Point ranked the severity of the vulnerability as high, but said that users would have to click on a link in an e-mail or visit a malicious Web page before being affected. The issue affects users of Firefox 3.0 as well as Firefox 2.0.
Mozilla said it logged more than 8 million downloads within 24 hours. There is currently no record for number of software downloads in a day, but Mozilla must now wait for review of the stunt by Guinness officials.Hope Mozilla is really gonna fix it up soon and is not gonna leave its user base just because of these vulnerabilities.
