“Save Energy” its the hottest topic, whether its a meeting at the G8 or at street level meeting at Namibia, its all the energy matter now. And with the zooming oil prices its the developed countries more panicked to get on with the new sources of energy.
And the green organization Club4Climate project at London have initiated an eco friendly clubbing venture. “Eco Friendly Clubbing” didn’t get idea right, I too did not have any idea when I heard this. Its the dance at the club thats gonna generate 60% of the energy needed to run the club. The venue’s most exciting innovation is the piezoelectric dance floor, which uses quartz crystals and ceramics to turn clubbers movement into electricity.
The dance floor is made with a series of springs and power generation blocks which detect the slightest movements from the dance floor. These blocks are piezoelectric crystals which has the ability of transforming the mechanical movements into electrical impulses. As the dancers rock on the floor constant electrical impulses are generated and charged on to batteries. And thats how the club runs along with other sources of wind and solar energy.
