Airtel Price for iPhone3G

A day after Vodafone has proclaimed the price of iPhone3G in India, Airtel too is out with its price its same as the Vodafone price. iPhone3G is Airtel is costing Rs.31000 for the 8GB modeland Rs.36100 for the 16GB model. I had received a mail from Airtel about the iPhone 3G price. The mail is here for you.

The moment you have been waiting for is here. The new iPhone 3G premieres August 22, 2008. iPhone 3G will be available in 2 exciting options:

8 GB (Black) for Rs 31000

16GB (White & Black) for Rs. 36100

Get your iPhone on priority

We have received large number of registrations for the iPhone 3G. As there are limited stocks, make sure you get yours on priority. Just visit one of the select Airtel stores & confirm your booking by paying Rs 5000 on August 20 or 21. You’ll get an appointment to collect your iPhone after paying the balance amount.

Sir,
I am very sorry to say this but I found nothing attractive in IPHONE3G when compared to other very good phone available in india from different companies.

This phone has nothing special and above all it does not have : 1. Good Camera, 2. vedio Recording, 3. MMS facility, 4. Video Calling…………then what the hell this all “Hungama” is all about?

In my views this IPhone can only be compared to the class “C” we have been using and throwing so far.

And what else its price…..??????????…….. Oh my god? are the manufacturers beef and blind as if they could not compare it to other good phones.

Indians are are the most intelligent and wise people in this world and they will simply reject it…..you see….I am pretty sure about it.

i too feel that iPhone3G is not gonna have a great market in India…as Indian are more of quality and money conscious and just dont follow the brand as the east. I suggest N96 is a better bid when compared the quality vs price ratio.

After observing all of your comments, I am not denying your point. But should see other side of coin also. The other markets which are available with the same features or similar features were/are also priced very high. Eg Nokia E 90 @ >Rs.30000/- Nokia N 95 .Rs.25000, HTC Touch diamond @ Rs.27500/-, Samsung Omania @ Rs. 35 K plus, BlackBerry 8820 @32000.

So, as a whole if somebody who is targeting for this budget, it does not seem high when you buy a product from Apple. I have very good image of Apple in my mind.

Hope to listen from other netizens.

First let me thank you for ur comment….wat ur saying is absoultely rite…but why had the apple people had promise to offer iPhone3G for $199….and even in US they couldnt sell it for that rate….

and another thing is that all the phones u mentioned is rich with features like a minimum 3.2 MP camera,bluetooth,video recording and expandable memory but all these features are not available in iPhone3g…..even though its having bluetooth i just dose not support content transfer to other gadgets….can only be used with bluetooth headset…..u may pls see the key note of steve jobs declaring the price of iphone 3g from youtube…..and here is a list of iPhoneKillers..http://www.inspyreit.com/2008/06/iphone-3g-killers-%e2%80%9cmission-failed%e2%80%9d/
