As most of the email account come free of cost each individual had more the one email, like one for the personal use, the other for the official purposes and many other reasons. But you may have noticed that most of that chat clients allow only a single user to get logged. In a situation where you have two gmail or yahoo accounts, a user is allowed to select any one account in the messenger at a time. How To Login With Multiple Instances of GTalk And Yahoo Messenger 8?

First we will see the steps to be followed to have multiple instances of GTalk Messenger and then for Yahoo Messenger.

How To Login With Multiple Instances of GTalk?

Gtalk Properties

Considering that you have GTalk already installed(Download if not) we start

Step1: Right Click on the GTalk icon on your desktop.

Step2: Select Properties from the Right Click Menu.

Step3: In the target box type /nomutex at the end of the path  “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe” then it would be

“C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe”  /nomutex

(Note that there is a space after the inverted comma (”), leaving no space gives you an error).

Step4: You can have as many instances of GTalk by clicking the GTalk icon

How To Login With Multiple Instances of Yahoo Messenger 8?

Considering that you have Yahoo Messenger 8 already installed(Download if not) we start

Step1: Click on Start Menu and Select Run.

Step2: Type “Regedit” and click OK.

Step3: Locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Pager\Test.

Step4: Create a new DWORD by and name it as “clone” or anything you like.

Step5: Change the DWORD value to 1.

Step6: Now log on to many Yahoo Accounts at the same time.

    What about using web IM services like http://webuzz.im/ to get multi gtalk or yahoo messenger login support?
    And WeBuzz.IM also supports web IM for Windows Live Messenger/MSN and AIM, both support multiple logins.
