Its been really long that InspYreIT had featured any lists, so we are here to list some of the essential Windows freeware applications. Freeware applications are not to be regarded as a second category applications as even the best browsers like Firefox, Opera come for free. Here in the list below I have featured the freewares based upon its popularity as the popularity is a benchmark for the performance of the application. You may also have your own set of applications, please do comment those.
Five Essential Windows Freeware Apps
Mozilla Firefox
As you see the headline of the article the application that might have popped on to your mind may be Firefox for sure, even not most of you may feel so. Firefox the best browser till now, even though Google is out with its Chrome with are huge improvisations of the firefox. I personally feel that even though the Chrome could catch up in future, Firefox rules till then.
OpenOffice
OpenOffice is a free cross-platform office application suite available for a number of different computer operating systems. It supports the ISO standard OpenDocument Format (ODF) for data interchange as its default file format, as well as Microsoft Office 97–2003 formats, Microsoft Office 2007 format among others. The suite includes everything that you can get from a paid office suite.
CCleaner
CCleaner its just simple and efficient performance tweak for your PC. The first thing that youc can do to enhance the performance before calling a technician. VLC Player
VLC Media Player is one of the most powerful free multi-format media players available for the simple reason that: VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.
AdAware SE

ccleaner has saved my butt on many occasions. Its seems the only time I install a freaky trojan or nasty malware is when i do something on some else's computer!
I also like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware- a really good free removal tool.
