After so many rumours the most awaited Starcraft game- Starcraft 2 : Wings of Liberty is about to release on July 27th. Described by its developers (Blizzard Entertaiinment) as the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game, we can expect something great from them. (They started the development of Starcraft 2 two years ago) The new version features roughly the same number of units as in the previous ones, some reappearing with new upgrades and a lot of them are new. The new additions include a new better Battle.net, a new competitive “ladder” system for ranked games and new matchmaking mechanics—designed to “match-up” players of equal skill levels. Also, an improved repley and record function is included in the game. Starcraft 2 will be launched as a collection 3 parts:
- Wings of Liberty (base pack)
- Heart of the Swarm (expansion)
- Legacy of the Void (expansion)
The new installment might have a heavy focus on the multiplayer aspect unlike its predecessor. The game also features Havok physics engine, which renders it more realistic elements in the game environment.
And regarding the price. Well it is $60 in Amazon. The Mac and PC version of the game is set for release on July 27.
